Q: instagram disappeared off my ipad mini

My Instagram suddenly disappeared off my ipad mini, I can't find it anywhere, and the app store says it's downloaded, so I can't re-download it... HELP!

Try searching for it. Swipe down from the top of the home screen or swipe right from the home screen to bring up search. -AJ

Tried, it just gives me the suggested website, I filled in the user and PW it worked and on that page gave me the option to download, where I could not do it from the app store.
