Q: Virtual keyboard not responding

MY sons iPad min 2 was a year old in dec. Recently his keyboard doesn't work in certain spots. It has the latest iOS 9.2.1 on it . Anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it ?

If the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn‘t respond to touch
