You may not need to buy a new one. The car chargers Verizon sells are certified Made For iPhone. If you're getting an error message, it probably means one of a couple of things. One, your charging port my have cruft in it. With a strong light and a magnifier, examine the port. Remove any lint or other debris you find using a non-conductive tool such as a wooden toothpick. Try the car charger again. If you're still having a problem, the charge may have gone bad. It happens. It has a one year warranty so, if you've had it for less than that, take it back to Verizon for an exchange.
