Q: safari page-loading stuck

Hi,

I'm a long-time Safari user and I'm often stuck using slow internet connections.  I have noticed that on various sites where Safari won't complete a page-load if I try in Chrome it works fine.  Now I do have years of data stored in Safari where as Chrome I normally never use it.  What can be the reason for this and what can I do?
