Q: Copying back one deleted app from itunes to iphone

I have an iphone 4S and have deleted an app from the phone. On opening Itunes on my MacBook Pro I can see the app along with all the others that have ever been downloded. Despite trying all possibilities I am unable to downlod the single app as it keeps coming up with the information that files are too large for the capacity of the iphone! Can anyone help with this problem please?

HI Judy, many thanks for your very helpful reply. Unfortunately, the app has been removed from the Apple Store and is no longer available so although it is still in my iTunes app folder, it does not now seem possible to re-download the app. Apparently the developer of this footpath app was not happy with certain aspects of Apple and therefore has removed it.
