Mac OS XIf your MBP is full of data, you will have to delete some data from the hard drive. You can also transfer data to an external hard drive and then delete it from your MBP.
If you are having trouble booting the MBP, try using a safe boot:

If that does not work, then Target Disk Mode is the best option.

Video and photo files are usually the items that take up the most space on a hard drive.
Ciao.

Feb 18, 2016 12:44 AM in response to belindafromsaint helenaby chroot,The screen shot with the solid blue line is the partition information. It shows how much space each partition is using on the disk. You have a single partition using the maximum space available. This does not mean that your disk is full, it means that your partition is using up all the available space and there is no unallocated space. Having unallocated space is a waste of space.
When a partition is formatted to a file system so it can store files, it becomes a volume. When you select the Macintosh HD instead of the SSD, you can see used and available space on the volume.
