Where are the files?

Hey,

I have recently deleted photos in mass from "Photos" in order to gain storage but after deleting them, I can neither find them in trash to empty it nor see my storage gets bigger.

Please help,

Thanks in advance.

Photos does not move the letter photos to the system Trash. Once you empty the recently Deleted album, the photos will be deleted permanently.

Were the photos you deleted in the recently Deleted album, and did you empty it?

Did you migrate an iPhoto Library or Aperture Library to Photos? In that case you will need to delete the photos in your iPhoto Library or Aperture Library as well. Because the photos in Photos are hard linked to the original libraries, the storage will only be released, if the photos are deleted in both the original library and the new Photos Library.
