adobe indesign performance problem

From The time that I updated the OS on my iMac to El Capitan, I have a serious issue with the performance of InDesign CS6.

First of all, when I launch the program it take too long to open but the most annoying issue is that a lot of times when I try to copy or to cut something on Indesign without any reason a small window appear saying the following: "Adobe InDesign is running low in disk space. Please delete unnecessary files to free up more disk space, and then restart InDesign." Then I have to close the whole programs and to open it again because didn't allow me to copy or to cut anything.

The strange thing is that my Hard Disk is almost empty. I have 1TB disk with available 973 GB.

Do you have any explanation on this. I have this problem for a long time now and I can't find any solution,

Please help me.
