Q: how to stop menu bar from disappearing

I HAVE BEEN HAVING ISSUE WITH THE MENU BAR DISAPPEARING FROM MY SCREEN.  WORKING IN EL CAPITAN 10.11.3

 

Have been where I was advised to go through other sites - unable to bring back the menu bar and lock it on top of screen -

 

  please help/advise

    Go to System Preferences --> General and uncheck "Automatically hide and show the menu bar."  Also, if you're using any application (like Safari) in full screen mode, the menu bar will be hidden until you mouse over the top of your screen.  To stop this, press ESC to exit full screen mode.  The menu bar should return permanently.

    .....For some reason the issue remains....I want both the DOCK MENU and the MENU BAR to remain on my screen at all time...I appreciate your assistance

    .....still to no avail........suggestion did not fix my issue....any other options?

     

      so strange...have made an Apple Store Reservation to assist me...

    Go to System Preferences --> Dock and uncheck "Automatically hide and show dock."  This will keep the dock permanently wherever you've placed it.

    Thanks - also found that the following finally brought both the Menu Bar and Dock back into view:

     

     

     

    Alt+Click on the green full screen button does the same as that when Double click the app menu bar
