Bluetooth Voice becomes v e r y s l o w

At least once a day on conference calls via bluetooth headsets (several types - all equal) the voice I hear is slowed down (sounds very deep and is mostly unintelligible).

To fix, I switch to iPhone or Speaker and back.

Other times I will lose all sound coming out of the call, however the call continues. Redialing into the call does not restore the sound. Only way to fix seems to be a hard reboot of the phone.

Believe it or not if the basic phone function doesn't work on the device, no amount of other apps will compensate.

I have an iPhone 6s+ iOS 9.2.1

I've been having the same problem, it's usually the first call after reconnecting to bluetooth, toggling between speaker and bluetooth fixes it but its very annoying especially if I'm driving already. Happened all the time on my iPhone7 and still happens on my iPhoneX, happens o my brother in law as well, iPhoneX and a different car brand so I guess it's a bug in the OS

I've been experiencing this with my iPhone 7+ running iOS 10.3.2 - first time I noticed it was with AirPods, but also having same issue with BeatsX. It appears on occasion when I make a phone call and the audio I hear sounds slowed down. In most cases I've been able to confirm that the person on the other end hears my voice slowed down as well.

I've been having this issue with my iPhone 7 plus since I got it at launch. This sluggish audio happens to 25% of my outgoing phone calls. AirPods, or my cars bluetooth. It's very annoying.

Please fix this glitch!

I'm having this issue too.
Only just bought a pair of AirPods a month or so ago, and am using them mostly for voice calls. Have had a couple of times when I call someone that the voice is super s-l-o-w and unintelligible. The first time I hung up and called back and the sound was OK, the second time I suspected the Airpods so switched to the iphone from the airpods and the sound went back to normal.

Am using them with an iPhone 7+, currently on iOS 11.1.1.

I use bluetooth to make calls in my car all the time (several a day, for over a year) and had no issues ever. So I assumed that the issue was with the Airpods....

Hopefully Apple can sort something out. My closest apple store is a 2.5 hour drive away, and being intermittent I'm not sure they could/would help me as it would be unlikely to happen when I talk to them about it.
