Q: Messages with Jabber - Chatroom messages disappear

I am using Account type as Jabber in Messages on my Mac.

Whenever i login, all my chatroom messages scroll over and disappear.

This doesnt happen with other individual messages.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

    Hi,

If you send something in the Chatroom does the "history" come back ?

What about non Chatroom conversations ?

Try a NVRAM reset How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

    No... it doesn't.

Its only when i rejoin the chatroom, the whole stuff scrolls up and vanishes.

The non chatroom conversations work fine.

    Hi,

From your first post I got the idea the Chat window was visible and if set to the Chatroom you would see the chat scroll out of view.

Your last post hints that even typing in the chatroom (and sending) achieves the same thing.

I was wondering if there had been more than 200 IMs in the Chatroom since you were last connected to it ?

It seems that a new IM is not "pinning" you back in the chatroom.

Have you tried starting a New Chat and rejoining the chatroom that way ?

    Hi,

If you go to the Accounts part of the Preferences can you remove the Account  and then Add it back again ?
