Q: my i phone is search for an apple watch to connect with but I don't have an apple watch

I updated my i phone 2 weeks ago.  With that update supposedly there was a new app for an apple watch.  This app cannot be deleted off the phone.  For some reason my phone is searching for an apple watch.  I don't own an apple watch.  My blue tooth cannot work in the car.  The phone keeps searching and searching using up my battery.  The only way I can make it stop is turn off the blue tooth.  When all of this happened, the volume on my phone volume became weaker.  I have a very difficult time hearing.

I am told by support that I have to set my phone back to factory settings and take it to the phone store.  Trust me nobody has time for that.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

iPhone 6, iOS 9.2.1

You are correct, you cannot delete the Watch app.

Where are you seeing that your device is searching for an Apple Watch? What are you seeing that makes you believe the device is searching for an Apple Watch?

There is nothing within the update that would cause the volume of your phone to become weaker. What troubleshooting have you already tried?
