iPhone Calendar displays wrong week numbers

Hello to all of you,

I'm using a iPhone 6 and I realized that the calendar week numbers are displayed incorrectly on my iPhone. unfortunately in the settings for the calendar I can only switch on/off the calendar week numbers but I can not change any other settings.

even more disturbing is the fact that on my iPad and my MacBook the calendar weeks are displayed correctly. For example on the iPad the week from February 15th to February 21st is week number 7 (same on the MacBook) but the iPhone displays it as week number 8.

I also know, that the american standard and european standard is different if it comes to the counting of the weeks, and that because this year started with a Friday, this two systems show different week numbers for the same week this year, but I would like to display the european system (in which week number 1 starts with January 4th.)

anyone has an Idea how to change the settings accordingly? thanks in advance

by the way, I use iOS 9.2.1 on my iPhone.

Hello! I have the same problem. However region settings ARE the same on all devices. Any other ideas how to fix this? Thanks!

Anyone got a solution to this? I work in the US for a Swiss company and at least they say week 1 of 2016 was Jan 4 to Jan 10 vs US region iPhone calendar says that's week 2. If I change my region to Switzerland my week numbers are good but then I have Swiss number formats. That's not too confusing but I'm worried there's going to be something else that will be a doozie - and this morning I realized I have lost the News app as I believe it's only for the US region. SO I changed my region back to US. Doesn't seem like there are any more settings in iOS 9.3 ;-(

I had the same problem, and changing my region settings from "Europe" to "Germany" did the trick!

I have a similar problem. MyiCal is showing the second week of 2016 as the 53rd week of 2015.

I kid you not!

My Calendar is set to

Region: The Netherlands,

First day of the week: Monday,

Calendar: Gregorian.

Sorry, this reply is in general, not to a specific person.

You might consider a 3rd party calendar application. Some have a toggle for the week number but I do not know if they just get the week number from the native calendar or if it calculates it internally. There are many calendar apps in the App Store, such as Google Calendar even that might show the week numbers as needed.

There are also a few apps that specialize in displaying week numbers in several formats (US, ISO/European, Simple, Middle East, etc.) if you are hesitant to replace the stock calendar app.
