Q: PC iphone compatability

I've only ever connected my i-phone 5 to my Windows 7 PC to upload files (usually photos) and never had a problem. I do not have nor intend to install i-tunes on my PC as this causes problems with other software.

Now, my PC does not appear to recognise that the phone is connected although acknowledged as a mobile device in device manager.

Is there anything I can do to remedy this?

Have checked integrity of all hardware including cables.

Hi! To sync iPhone with a computer, you will need iTunes.

Then I guess you don't really want to fix the problem.

I've had iTunes installed on many PCs over the years and it's never caused any issues, so stop limiting yourself.
