Which screen to replace my cinema display ?

Hello,

The cable of my Apple LED Cinema Display (27) just broke.

I went to a shop to fix it and cost of repair is crazy. In the same time i look around at other screen and could compare my cinema display with other screen in 4K.

I use a retina display and to me when i plug the mac book into the cinema display i have the feeling to come back 5 years ago in term of quality of display. Pixels are too big compare to mac book pro.

Which external retina screen would you recommend me instead ?

thx

Some models of computer don't support full resolution, or others aren't

supported to the same specification one may expect for quality...

What model and build year of portable are you using? The retina may

be a stretch to try and use, depending on the graphic hardware in mac.

A special adapter may be required, so that is an added expense. see:

Claims: Compatible with Mac computers with Mini DisplayPort and Thunderbolt ports

And the latest display model with Thunderbolt may exceed your MacBook specs.

So you may have to compare elsewhere for something to replace Cinema.

One appears to be all there is at Apple, the 27-inch Thunderbolt:

Good luck! 🙂
