Yes, because that was a total scam that was intended to brick your phone. Why would you believe something like that? If they posted that if you jumped off a particular cliff, that you would fly, would you do it? Common sense should tell you that this was some sort of prank.

You need to take your device to Apple so they can fix the issue, or you can try putting in in DFU mode to reset it:
