Q: Boot Camp failed to install.

Hey so i was going to install windows 10 via Boot Camp on my macbook air, while it was installing something happened and the macbook restarted.Once it booted back up i went into "Boot Camp Assistant"  and it said "You must have at least 50 GB of free space available." and now it says that "Other" is taking over 31.31GB of my laptops space, can anyone tell me a solution how to get rid of the failed installation files?

The simplest and safest method to get your disk space back is

    1. Backup OSX and all your files - Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support .

    2. Boot into Internet Recovery (Command+Opt+R) - OS X: About OS X Recovery - Apple Support .

    3. Click on Utilties -> Disk Utility and Erase your internal whole disk.

    4. Restore OSX and your files - Use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac - Apple Support .

This requires a separate external disk which can accommodate TM backup - Backup disks you can use with Time Machine - Apple Support .

There are other methods using Terminal diskutil commands, but a backup is highly recommended.
