Is it possible to charge an iPod Classic while it's using a Bluetooth adaptor?

I have recently bought a bluetooth adaptor in order for my music on my iPod classic to be played via a bluetooth speaker. However, I'm worried about the battery running out if used all evening for a party. Is there a way round charging and using the adaptor at the same time? Thanks
