otica unit does not respond . ejects the CD . in information , I have no access to alterations . My problem is key , softwere or hardwere ?

Mac mini, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), ear 2009

Are you saying that when y insert the disk in the optical drive the it just ejects the disk after a short period of time.

If that is your problem does this occur with all disks?

If try then:

Get help with the slot-loading SuperDrive on your Mac computer - Apple Support

Dry inserting a clean C/DVD cleaning disk.

Also try cleaning by:

Could be that the optical disk died. The optical drive in my late 2009 Mac mini failed about three years ago with same symptoms
