    Which iPod nano?

It sounds like VoiceOver is being activated (announcing song info and playlists).  First, do a Reset (restart) of iPod, if you have not already.

If the problem recurs after Reset, depending on iPod nano model, these command can be activated from control buttons on the headphones cord (like the type that come with iPhone).  For example, double-press of middle button is next song .  Press-hold of middle button is hear song info.  Even if the headphones you are using do not have control button on the cord, your iPod could be getting false signals.  Make sure the headphones plug is fully inserted into the headphones jack; it should "click" into place.  Try a difference set of headphones, to see if that makes the problem go away.
