When I installed windows 10 on my mac, I accidentally deleted the MacOS Partition. I made a new D: drive partition within Windows 10, but when I go to the internet restore, and try to reinstall Mac, it says the disk is locked. How do I unlock that di

So basically, I downloaded the Windows 10 ISO file and installed it using bootcamp. During the install, I accidentally formatted the Mac OS partition and replaced it with the Windows one. I am now trying to reinstall Mac OS using the internet recovery feature. I have partitioned a new D: drive named OSX, and there is no data on the drive. I then click on reinstall Mac OS. I try to select the OSX disk I have partitioned but it says that the disk is locked. Does anybody know how to unlock the disk or do I need to do something else?

I think one of the problems could be that my Windows partition replaced the C: drive where the OSX partition was. I have tried to move the Windows OS to a B: or E: drive but it wont let me. Let me know if this could be a problem too.

Your disk is a Windows LDM disk when you erased OS X. Can you post the a screen shot from Windows Disk Management?

You may also want to install GPT Fdisk - https://sourceforge.net/projects/gptfdisk/ on the Windows side, or diskpart is another option.

Thanks for your help but I actually figured it out. All I had to do was format the disk to a Mac OS compatible format. (I wasn't thinking very well lol)
