which "Apple Apps" are free for downlaod on iPad air2?

I read on a review that Garage Band, iMovie, Keynote, Pages etc are free for download on ipad air, but as i try to download it payment information is asked. are these apps free or which apple apps are free for ipad air (ios 9.2)?

yes they are free apps for sure, for verification purposes they want a card to add for your iTunes Store/Apple ID account.
