Q: Why did all of my downloaded music disappear when I got my new iPad?

I understand that you are having issues with downloading your songs on your iPad. Let's go over what you can do about that.
Now if you are using Apple Music, then you will want to ensure that iCloud Music Library is turned on in iTunes and on your iPad. This will ensure that all your content will show up, including CD's that you have imported into iTunes. Then it would be a matter of downloading your songs like you would for your purchased content.
