Native Instruments not recognized or loading into Logic Pro X 10.0.5

Hi there,

I have read recently of several incompatibility issues regarding Native Instruments plug-ins and Mac OSX el capitan. However, most of the recent information I could find dates back to November. I'm currently using Logic Pro X 10.0.5, and I have Komplete Ultimate 9. I'm running OSX 10.11.3. Absolutely NONE of the Native Instrument plug-ins will show up within Logic Pro, so they are unavailable to me. Does anyone know a fix for this? Is it necessary for me to upgrade Logic Pro (this will cost me $$) ??

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

As you have Logic Pro X there is no pay for upgrade to date.. All updates so far have been free.. so to update to the latest LPX 10.2.1 version will cost you nothing.

But as the latest versions of all NI plugins, work perfectly well under all versions of LPX these days... that's not your issue.

So.. I'm guessing you are looking in the wrong place for them or... you haven't properly installed them and activated them via NI's Service Center... or you haven't updated them to the latest versions, again, via NI's Service Center app.

Therefore to test....

Create a new project... and create a software Instrument track... and then watch this animated gif...

If there are no Native Instrument plugins present in that popup menu you have not correctly installed or activated them.... so try again.

Ok.. lets take this one step at a time.. as you are missing all the essential content.

First, update Logic Pro X to the latest version as you are running a really old version... via OS X's Software Updates in the Mac App Store Application

There is no cost to do this.

Once you have updated to 10.2.1 download all the essential content.... It should ask you to do this..

If it doesn't then go to the Logic Pro X menu bar and choose Logic Pro X > Sound Library > Download Essential...

Then post back here... when thats done.
