One way may be AirDrop - depending on your hardware and iOS versions.
Use AirDrop to send content from your Mac - Apple Support
Another way is email. There would be other ways ... depending on what applications are accessing these files on your iPad.

Apple Numbers, Keynote and pages will open MS documents and y can use iTunes's File Sharing to sync them to your iPad
