I copied from other document.

I am using US keyboard.

Press Control + Command + Space — this brings up the Emoji/Character viewer. On the left side of the box, there are a list of categories. You should see a category called "Box Drawing." If you don't, click on the gear icon at the top of the Characters box and then choose "Customize List." You can add it from there. Once you do, click on it, and the left/right brackets are in the very first group you see. See screenshot below:

Well, whether you go my route or his, you just double-click on them and they'll be added to your post, your Tweet, your document.....whatever the situation may be. I don't believe either of them have a keyboard combination that will allow you to type them manually, like Shift + Option + K will give you the Apple symbol --> 
