How to jump to a specific timecode location quickly?

I have a project whose starting timecode is 9:33:25.

I would like to jump to a specific timecode location (9:48:45) by typing it in. So I hit control-P, and type 94845. As I type 94845, different digits appear in the counter. When I hit return, FCPX inexplicably puts the counter at 9:49:15, which is not what I asked for.

Furthermore, if I hit play, it plays the project from the beginning (9:33:25), not 9:48:45 nor 9:49:15.

How do I quickly and easily move the playhead to 9:48:45?

I have to do this hundreds of times to insert markers, so that's why I'm trying to find a quick way to do it.

Check to ensure your starting TC is 00:00.

Just clicking the TC field in the Dashboard should permit you to enter a TC that the playhead will jump to when you hit return. You can also advance it by n frames by hitting the = sign and then the value.

My starting TC isn't 00:00. It's a custom setting (9:33:25). I need it to be custom, because I have handwritten notes that are actual clock times.

(My event started at 9:33:25 am, and I have realtime handwritten notes, such as "this happened at 9:55:25" that I now want to transfer to become FCPX markers.)

If I change the TC to 00:00, it defeats my entire purpose.

The project is at 30fps. There is no timeline location of 9:48:45. Is this supposed to be a 59.94 or 60 fps project.

I guess I'm confused. I must be confused between real time and frames. Please feel free to explain it to me or forward a link to me that explains it.

In my project info properties, I set the starting timecode to 9:33:25:00. I thought that would let me easily jump to the real time location of 9:48:45:00.

Is there another way to do this? Another way to jump to the real time location of 9:48:45:00, given that I know the start of my project is 9:33:25:00?

To get to that TC number your have to type 9484500 or 94845. (that's a period to stand for the two zeros.) If you type 94845 you're going to some point further down the timeline 48 seconds and 45 frames, which 49:15 in a 30fps project.
