Q: Photos[]: Missing resource of type 3 for version: RDVersion() modelId= uuid= tableName=RKVersion state=persisted,local

Photos has been unstable since I moved to El Capitan 10.11.3. It transfered my old iTunes library, and everything seems to be there, but the program crashes frequently as it has for others. There is also the matter of photolibraryd grabbing 100% of a CPU and generating pages of messages about problems like this one:

2/20/16 11:53:42.862 AM Photos[35285]: ERROR: error occurred in 'performFaceDetectionAndFaceTileGenerationForVersionIfNeeded': Error Domain=com.apple.Photos.FaceRecognitionErrorDomain Code=-1 "Processing failed, reason: Could not get correct grayscale image bytes for face detection, skipping face detection for image: Pdrr5PNjQDeTjnX%sjhX+Q" UserInfo={NSLocalizedFailureReason=Processing failed, reason: Could not get correct grayscale image bytes for face detection, skipping face detection for image: Pdrr5PNjQDeTjnX%sjhX+Q}

I am sure that Photos supports color photographs, so the problem just can't be that my photos are not black and white.

I've let Photos and photolibraryd run overnight for about 15-16 hours. In the morning it was quiescent, but quitting Photos and restarting restarted this.

All the while Photos is unstable. One can just be scrolling down a page of thumbnails and it will blow out of the water. There is no point in posting the crash report here. Others have reported their own versions in this forum, and I presume that the report was forwarded to Apple.

Could the problem be that my photos are not consolidated in the library but included by reference?

    Post the first 100 or so lines of the crash report here

    Do you have any black and white photos in the library?

    There are no black and white photos in my library. I've always used a color digital camera.

    I did notice that now and then when I zoom in to view a full size version of some pictures I am asked to authorize access. It then lets me select a folder to authorize, usually my top level home folder. Then it runs for a bit longer and crashes. This lack of access is suspicions and sporadic, but also harmful.

    I would post some of the crash report, but this system complains that the report as cut and pasted contains invalid characters, but does not tell me which ones they are. I would love to oblige, but I am not going to try replacing each unique character in a 100 line chunk of stuff to see what the problem is.

    Here is some of the stuff:
