    Hi,

This post is in iChat.  (An app that ended at OS X 10.7.x)

If you are looking to close an Apple ID then Apple will need to see a Death Certificate.

If you were looking for info on how to access their computer then that is possible.

However again Apple may help directly but many regular posters will want to feel that they are happy the title deed as it were has passed to you.

Nothing, you need the previous owners info, to erase the phone and remove the findmyiphone activation lock.

Just go to the FBI or USDOJ. They have backdoors to get into the phone or they will make apple build a backdoor. It's the US Govt. working for it's employer the people or the iPhone user in this case.

Apple can remove the activation lock with the appropriate paperwork. That has nothing to do with the DOJ's current request which is to remove the iPhone's passcode without destroying the data. Currently, that cannot be done.
