is there a safe adobe flash player approved by apple?

I've seen offers for latest version of adobe flash player but I am not sure if apple feels it is safe. I have not received any suggested updates for adbe flash player.

As Duane suggests, there simply is no such thing as safe Adobe Flash. Not only is it a festering sore of security, but it also a resource hog, and the vector for the most aggressive advertising on the web.

I would highly recommend NOT having Flash installed at all if Safari is your primary browser. You can have Google Chrome installed in addition to Safari and use it when you find a website that absolutely needs Flash (Chrome includes Flash and automatically updates). If Chrome is your primary browser then I recommend disabling Flash in settings or at a minimum enabling the "let me choose when to run plugin content" setting under plugins.

I have not had Flash installed in any of my browsers for years and haven't missed it one bit. Any website that still requires Flash should simply be abandoned in favor of one that is modern and accessible.
