Q: How to delete the main admin

How do I delete the administrator that was made when I first used my Macbook pro

You need to log out of the account you're trying to delete(not just switch out of it through Fast User Switching), and you need to open the padlock at the bottom of the window.

    If you only want to delete that account and will be keeping the computer, open the Users & Groups pane of System Preferences, create another administrator account, log in with it, and delete the first one.

    If you're about to sell or give away the computer, click here and follow the instructions.

    I am not sure how to delete the user.

    I have seen that there is a minus button but that button is not an option for me to select.
