Have you confirmed that the hour long video did actually record onto your iPhone 6? Does it show up in the Photos app or when you look at the capacity on your iPhone? Are you using a Mac or a PC? The following resource shows how to import the video to your computer and how to backup your iPhone using iTunes. Also, if you enable iCloud Photo Library, the video will be uploaded to iCloud automatically. I'll include some information on that for you as well. Click on the links for more information.

About backups in iCloud and iTunes
iCloud Photo Library works seamlessly with the new Photos app to keep your photos and videos stored in iCloud and up to date on your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac, and iCloud.com.
How many photos and videos can I store in my iCloud Photo Library?
The number of photos and videos you can store depends on your available iCloud storage. When you sign up for iCloud, you automatically get 5 GB of free storage, and several iCloud storage plans are available from 50 GB for $0.99 up to 1 TB.
Take care,
