Battery percentage of iphone 5 not updating and iphone restarting frequently

I have been a great fan of your products but i am really sorry to say that iphone 5 has been a failure for me. I bought a brand new iphone and it fell just from the height of 1 feet but the lcd soon got damaged. And i had to replace it. I then bought another iPhone 5 (refurbished from Apple Store) and it has been just 3 weeks. I was at a function at my school yesterday when the iPhone got very hot and the battery percentage remained 91 % for about one and a half hour. My friends suggested me to factory reset the device. I factory reset my iPhone and after it the battery issue remained same and now the iPhone also restarts frequently. I am really in a fix as I had to sell it yesterday but due to this problem no one is buying the iPhone. Please help me!!

Hi Daniyal00011,

If you are having issues with the battery on your iPhone 5, take a look at these troubleshooting steps. Any iPhone purchased from Apple has a one year warranty, so you may need to have an Apple Store Genius or an Apple Authorized Service Provider take a look at your iPhone and explain your options based on their findings.

Charge your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Plug into power

Apple recommends that you use the USB power adapter and USB cable that come standard with your device. For a third-party accessory, check that it's Apple certified. Then use these steps:

  1. Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to its Lightning to USB cable or Apple 30-pin to USB cable.
  2. Then plug into a USB wall adapter, and plug the adapter into the wall.
  3. Remove any debris from the charging port on the bottom of your device.
  4. Restart your iOS device.
  5. Try a different USB cable or charger.
  6. Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS.
  7. Contact Apple Support to set up service.
