A screen replacement MAY fix it, if there was no other damage as a result of the fall. If it is a 5S or later and you go to an independent shop be sure to ask about Touch ID. If a screen replacement is not done correctly it will permanently disable Touch ID.
A screen replacement will fix it.
Apple does them.
Alternatively, find a reputable independent repairer to replace the screen for you. If going this route, look for someone who offers a 6-12 month warranty. And don't go for the cheapest. This also relinquishes any future out of warranty services from Apple.
Yes, assuming there is no other damage internally. All that can be tested prior to a a new screen being installed.
Lawrence is correct. If you use an independent, make sure they are going to transfer the existing touch ID onto the new new screen. As the touch ID is not interchangeable.
You can't find any in stores because Apple does not sell screens separately. And if the phone is water damaged replacing the screen is not a good investment, because the damage caused by water doesn't happen all at once and the phone will likely fail in the future. You can buy screens on Amazon, but stores won't generally have them.
So my first suggestion is to take it to Apple. They will replace the whole phone for about 1/3 the cost of a new phone (or $99 if you have AppleCare+). But only if you don't try replacing the screen yourself. If the phone is out of warranty and you don't care about the 1/3 price replacement you can try an independent repair shop. Unfortunately, there is no sure way to find a capable and reliable one who will guarantee their work, and be around to honor that guarantee years (or months) later.
Thanks for the reply i will sure use your advise 🙂
Do you know a rough estimate price on how much it will cost?

I'm in Australia, where at an independent they are about AUD$160.
I believe in the US, they are around US$100.
I have the same problem, but my screen is water damaged. I've heard that you can replace the screen by yourself with a special kit, however, I haven't been able to find any in stores.
