So I've been procrastinating to update my mac book pro 13-inch software and all of a sudden the system cannot recognise the keyboard. I restarted the Mac and now I can't even enter my password to login. However some of the keys like enter, shift option are working. I did try all the resets but nothing changed. The keys do ping when I press them but nothing comes on the screen. can anyone help?

if it doesn't, I would recommend to visit a genius bar.

Thanks for your response, I been to the Genesis bar and they could find anything wrong with it, the only think they could do to try and fix it was to replace the keyboard.

I doubt that the Genesis bar (http://www.genesisbar.com/) is going to help you with your Mac. You should visit the Genius bar in the Apple store. 🙂
