Q: How to delete photos transferred from old phone

Hi

I recently bought the iPhone 6 and the mobile store guy transferred some images from my old phone (iPhone 4S). These photos are stored in a new album and I am not able to delete these photos from my iPhone 6. When I connect to iTunes and use the select photos the "Sync Photos" option is not selected. How do i delete this album from the phone?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.2.1

    Hi there harasiddh,

It sounds like your cellular provider transferred some photos some how to your phone from your old phone but you cannot delete them. It's as if they were synced over but you cannot unsync them. I would use these instructions from the following article to see if this will remove them:

Delete photos and video synced from iTunes when you can’t access the originals

To delete photos that have been synced from a computer that's no longer accessible:

    1. Create a folder on the computer that you now sync with, and add a single photo to that folder.
    2. In the Photos tab in iTunes, click the box next to "Sync Photos From."
    3. In the pop-up menu next to "Sync Photos From," choose the folder you created in step 1.
    4. Apply the change.
    5. Uncheck "Sync Photos From."
    6. Apply the change again.
    7. Your synced photos will now be removed from the device.
