Q: Remove Shoppy Tool pop ups on my mac?

Please can you advise how to remove Shoppy Tool pop ups on my mac? I am not confident enough to remove hidden files. I Have deleted zip cloud and mac keeper apps which appeared yesterday after updating flash player but have been left with these pesky pop ups

MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

Never asks for your email or anything. No signing in no information given. I believe that at  most,  it uses the IP addrless to block incoming signals. What I do know is that the site is to computers what the do not call list is for phones. I've used it before and never had an issue until I changed computer. Maybe you should do your research before making assumptions.

That proves it then. After I signed up for the do-not-call list, I was inundated by scam calls for duct cleaning, cruises, tech support, and fake CRA agents.

Then you are the only one to have called the National Do Not Call List at 1 (888) 382-1222 and have it backfire.

I never called that number. I'm in Canada, so I called the CRTC version. I assumed that you were from Canada too since you referenced that Canadian web site. If you are in the US, I don't see what good registering yourself with a Canadian industry self-regulatory program is going to do.

As bad as the CRTC is, even with fines in the hundreds of dollars , it is still better than any "self-regulatory agency". Remember, scammers are criminals. They don't obey the law. If the government gives them a list of phone numbers, they are going to call them. Of course it is illegal. But, again, they are criminals. When I've had a dispute with a legitimate company like Rogers or Teksavvy, the CRTC has really helped me.

Remember, this is not a thread about ad-blockers or something. It is about adware. Plus, it is six months old. Since then, Mac adware has evolved and now indistinguishable from true malware. There are no legitimate companies here that are going to honour any of your requests or "opt-outs". Do NOT give them any information. Do NOT give them your passwords. Do NOT install their software.
