First off, do not post any personal information on a public website.  That's against the TOU of this forum and a bad idea in general.

Second, you are not speaking to Apple here, so no one would know if you qualify for any kind of refund.

Contact Apple directly by using the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of this page, and ask to speak to a Senior Advisor or Customer Relations.

If you see error 53 and your iPhone or iPad gets stuck on the 'Connect to iTunes' screen - Apple Support

If you believe that you paid for an out-of-warranty device replacement based on an error 53 issue, contact Apple Support to ask about reimbursement.

I had also an error 53 in december with iPhone 6+ 64GB bought in November 2014. Have been to Apple store 3 times, but nothing was possible. Replacement neither as I had my screen repaired elsewhere.

I had to buy complete new iPhone begin of January, but now It appears totally unnnecessarry.

Called today with apple support for reimbursement, but they won't give it to me. So officially Apple apologise and talk about reimbursement, but when you call they do not give a damm!   Paid 900 euro for no reason at all, as error 53 was not my fault but a software update disaster caused by Apple

Because you had third-party service done on the device.  You paid the 900 euro because you chose to use a third-party service.

Go back to the place that swapped your screen and get them to reimburse you or fix the problem.  You didn't pay Apple a dime for the screen replacement, so why, exactly, should they reimburse you?

I paid 900 because of a malicious update in december. Apple fixed the update now, so the difference in solutions between now and december is 900 euro

Today I would not have been forced to buy a new iPhone. I would have continued with the touch id not working. (as before december) The touch ID problem was my own fault, not of the third party service repair.

Apple should reimburse me the costs of a new iPhone  as it is their fault I had to buy a new one

I cannot understand all you people to defend Apple where they have admitted to be wrong in this case.

Their update from December forced thousands of people to buy a new iPhone , as error 53 was unsolvable

The error occurred with and without third partie repairs.

Fixing a Honda at a random garage , does not mean that you car will stop driving because of a service update done by Honda.

No, they shouldn't.  You're the one that chose third-party service.

Quit arguing here, it will get you nothing, and contact Apple Customer Service to be reimbursed.

No, they simply said that it should not have occurred on user's devices, and is something that is part of a check at the factory.  Meaning that it should only occur if there is a hardware problem.  Meaning that if you had your device serviced improperly, then when the update occurred, the check at the time found the hardware problem, that was not in the device at time of original sale.  The hardware problem that was introduced by the faulty service is the reason that the error occurred.

The errors that occurred when there was no third-party repair?  Apple is taking care of those.

But yours had a third-party repair.  So Apple is NOT taking care of that.

Perfectly logical.  How about you hold the third-party repair shop, that DID NOT use authentic parts in your iPhone repair, accountable?
