  How do I restore the Albums that I had before?

What have you done?  Did you just migrate an iPhoto Library to Photos?

Your albums should still be there in the Album section and all your events should have been turned into albums.

Enetr the key combination ⌥⌘S   (option-command-S) to reveal the sidebar with the albums That makes it easier to navigate a Photos library.

Look in the sidebar of the Photos library under Albums.  If there is nothing under it move the cursor to the right until you Show appears and click on it:

Are they there?
