Transfer ebook to eReader

I've recently purchased a book and I want to transfer it to my Pocketbook.

Reading the book from an iPhone screen or constantly carrying my iPad isn't an option.

How exactly do I transfer my ebook from iBooks to my Pocketbook?

The majority of ibooks from the iBookstore can only be read in the iBooks apps on iOS devices and Mac computers, they have digital rights management on them which tie them to iBooks apps - generally only free ibooks, and those from the few publishers (e.g. O'Reilly) who don't include DRM on their books, can be read elsewhere. A book's requirements should be listed on its description page in the store.

You might think that, but in fact it is not true at this time. Most publishers use DRM, and whether you can read a book from a particular store on a particular device normally depends on whether there is an app for that store on that device. Amazon books can be read on most devices via the Kindle app, but Apple books can only be read on Apple devices, no other device currently has an iBooks app.
