Q: can't find pictures I migrated from PC

All of my data from my PC has been migrated to my Macbook Pro, but I can't find any of it? Well, that's not quite true ... I see the 'HP-PC' icon on the desktop, but do I really have to constantly go between 2 'systems'? I guess I understood what 'migration' meant. I really just want to do everything through 'mac' - help!

It includes:
Pictures
Photos and other images are copied to your Home folder. These files can be added to Photos. After migrating, you can open Photos and let it search your Mac for photos to import.
