Outlook Problems

I have a PowerBook that is running OSX 10.4.11 and recently I have been having big problems with Outlook.

Usually it doesn't start the first time I try and when it does open, it is very slow and will not upload documents for me to attach to emails. Sometimes it will not even open the pane to write a new message. It just freezes.

Is anybody able to help please?

Thank you.

First use Disk Utility in Applications/Utilities to check how much free hard disk space is available. If you are less than 10GB, you need to clear space by deleting files.

Are you using Microsoft Outlook Express?

Next the Outlook Express Identity could be having issues. I'm guessing your Inbox is huge. Try moving messages out of the Inbox to a custom folder. You might need to start over in a new Identity.

These directions are for OE Windows, but should be similar to "Switch Identity" in OE for Mac.
