Airport

Hello,

I have a Realtek wireless USB adapter for WiFi because my airport card has problems. The problem is however, i can connect to every network that require 'just' a password. At this moment i am trying to connect to eduroam, but i can not insert a username. Do you have any suggestions about how i can solve this?

Software i am using:

Mac OS X 10.5.8

Wireless Network Utility 2.0.2

Driver version v1007

Hardware i am using:

Powerbook G4 (i know, it is dated but i love it)

Realtek mini USB adapter (RTL8188EU)

I have been trying to resolve the problem for hours now, and you are my last option. I really hope you could help me.

Thanks in advance.

PowerBook, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

If it requires a username, I think it is using a different type of security. Try setting it to NOT use a security protocol (when you select the Wi-Fi network), and run your web browser. For Leopard (10.5.8), I recommend using the TenFourFox browser, if you don't already.

You may get a web page that asks for your credentials.
