Q: Save as disk image - black screen

Hi

I'm trying too save a project as a disk image but when DVD player plays it all i get is a the background music and a black screen. Any ideas?

iMovie 9.09 running El Capitan

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

A:

iMovie 9.0.9 has been reported as not working well with El Capitan. You may need to upgrade to iMovie 10.

I've discovered that I have a black screen and sound when I export to Quicktime too, so it must be an iMovie issue

I've now discovered that all of my old projects now show a black screen but have sound so that sounds about right.

I can't seem to get these projects into iMovie 10 though, any ideas on how i do this?
