We need much more information to give you specific help. Tell us step-by-step, in detail what your actions are.

    Tell us a Story

    - with a beginning, a middle and end. We need to understand everything that you know and have experienced.

If this issue is new, tell us what immediately preceded its onset - add software, upgrade or update? New equipment?

Quoted from  Apple's "How to write a good question"

To help other members answer your question, give as many details as you can.

    • Include your product (device) name and specs such as processor speed, memory, and storage capacity. Please do not include your Serial Number, IMEI, MEID, or other personal information.
    • Provide the version numbers of your operating system and relevant applications, for example "OS X 10.4.11" or "Safari 4.1.3".
    • Describe the problem, and include any details about what seems to cause it.
    • List any troubleshooting steps you've already tried, or temporary fixes you've discovered.

I am using mac book pro, 13-inch, with 2.5GHz processor, 4G of memory and 500G of hard drive memory.

Ever since I updated OS X El Capitan 10.11.3, (it was working before for 10.11.2) whenever I send a text message through my phone it shows up on my mac, but when that person replies, it opens up another chat window on my mac with their number(without the contact name, same number tho). I tried to change the format of their phone number on my phone but it does not solve the problem. Then when i reply to that person's message on my phone, my side of the message only shows on one chat window, and their responses are on another chat window. Help

I am assuming that you MUST have an accomplice to be able to test the results? Borrowing a device to test?

    Restart your Mac. Test.

Restart in Safe Mode, Test. >OS X El Capitan: Start up in safe mode<

    Restart in 'normal' mode. Test

What exactly is the "this" that you tried - there is a list of things?

Rather than "verify" things in the list, "toggle" them = for example,  turn Bluetooth off then on again then test - repeat through the list

You want to make your Mac "REenable" the features.

Report the "Story" of your actions and results. We need to paint a mental picture, as if we were there looking over your shoulder. Think of this conversation as more of a phone call than a chat session.
