I don't know the reason for needing to do a Restore, but did the iPod work properly with the current Windows 10 and iTunes installation, before the need to do the Restore arose? Or did an event, such as upgrading the existing system to Windows 10 (or upgrading iTunes) cause the need to do the Restore (and this resulting problem)?
