Q: free trial went straight to purchase

I read reviews on the Affinity photo app and it said there was a free trial but when I clicked download it has purchased it.  Am I able to get a refund or is it now a done deal?

There are no free trials in the Mac App Store. A few apps offer a limited version of an app for free and to unlock the full features you make an in-app purchase.

If you see a price and click to download the app you are going to be charged. Free apps don't have a price, the button says Get. If you read about free trials in the press, those are usually available from the developer's website.
