Feb 22, 2016 11:31 AM in response to Sandman1172by gail from maine,OK, so you need to explain exactly what password is being asked for and when. When you click on Erase All Content and Settings, what happens exactly? What is the exact text of the box asking for your password.

Feb 22, 2016 12:06 PM in response to gail from maineby Sandman1172,Im going to paint you a visual picture. on the very top left corner it has "i Pod" next to that is the internet sign in the top middle it has the time. In the top right corner it has my battery. you go a little down and it says in the middle under the time "Enter Passcode" then to the right of it is says in blue fount Cancel. if you move down it has Try Again in 2,601,020 minuets. then if you go down a little bit it has the four lines like this _ _ _ _ if you go down a little bit you see in white fount surrounded by a red bubble 6 Failed passcode Attempts then you go down and you see the number key pad. before this screen pops up you have every thing except for try again in 2,601,020 minuets and the 6 Failed passcode attempts thing. then i put in the password and the screen pops up

Feb 22, 2016 12:15 PM in response to Sandman1172by gail from maine,You put in the password and what screen pops up? I really didn't need a description of an entire iPhone screen display. I asked for the exact information in the windows you were seeing. So, you provided a clear picture of everything up to the point where you put in the passcode. So, are you indicating that the same screen redisplays only now with the number of password attempts increased?
If so, how did you get to the Setting screen to reset your Network settings? Missing piece.....

Feb 22, 2016 12:51 PM in response to gail from maineby Sandman1172,I can get into my ipod. and i can get to the setting all the way to Reset. I see all the options Reset All Settings, Erase All Content and Settings, Reset Network Settings, Reset Keybooard Dictionary, Reset Home Screen Layout, and Reset Location & Privacy. If i press on Reset Network Settings, Reset Key Board Dictionary, Reset Home Screen Layout, and Reset Location & Privacy and enter my password it works like a charm but if i press on Reset All Settings, Or Erase All Content and settings and enter my password it puts up the screen i described before.

Feb 22, 2016 1:15 PM in response to Sandman1172by lllaass,As I preciously said, you can either wait and try again entering the passcode or place the iPod in Recovery mode or DFU mode and the restore via iTunes.
The Apple article I cited say you may be asked to enter your passcode which you unsuccessfully did too many times
