Q: What is the best way to configure a network with 1 Base Airport Extreme and 2 Airport Express (1 is wired and the other is wireless?

Hello,

I need to extend my network's home, so, I have 1 Base Airpot Extreme connected to my modem in the main floor, and I have 2 Airport Express, one wired in my room and the other one is wireless in other room.

So the question is, what is the best setup to my airports, because when I connect all of them, the airport utility stop functioning well.

Thanks.

Daniel.

I would recommend that you configure the AirPort Extreme and the AirPort Express that will be connected to it by Ethernet into a roaming network. You can then use the second Express to extend the wireless range of this network.

If you need any further assistance in setting this up, just let us know. What would help is to include the model numbers of each of your base stations and the make & model of your Internet modem. Also where will the second Express be located in relation to the AirPort Extreme ... same floor, or different floor? The rough number of walls between them and the building material used for the walls/floors/ceiling, etc.?
