Q: How do I split a cell

this is my first time I'm working with numbers on my iPad pro, how do I split one cell into 2?

    Hi Ccaceres,

     

    While you can merge cells in Numbers in OS X I don't see anyway to do it in iOS. Splitting cells is not encouraged.

     

    Merging/splitting of cells is asking for trouble. You may not have problems right away but things tend to screw up down the line. If you have a specific issue you are trying to address by splitting a cell we might be able to help with that.

    In numbers for iOS, the only cells that can be split are those that have been previously merged (using "unmerge"). Actually most spreadsheet apps - including Excel - work this way.
